What happens after losing weight
Guy Who Lost 160 Pounds Gives a Whole New Meaning to Being Comfortable in Your Skin
When John Glaude is wearing a tank top and shorts, he looks like a regular ripped dude you might see overdoing it at the gym. But once he takes off his clothes, you can see clear evidence of the obese person he used to be
Glaude weighted 360 pounds at his heaviest and now is down to a muscular 200. But all that weight loss left behind a lot of loose skin, and it’s a feature he normally tries to hide. But this weekend, he shared the biggest insecurity about his body on his YouTube page, Obese to Beast.
He starts the video by mentioning that his body is “not as perfect as people want to think,” and that though he feels comfortable wearing clothing, it’s a whole different story when he takes off his clothes.
His skin easily pulls away from his body, like fabric on a loose sweater. His skin hangs over his visible six-pack abs, and he usually tucks his belly skin into the waistband of his boxers. His legs have the most loose skin, and he mentions that you can sometimes see it when he wears shorts.
Glaude’s brave video serves as a real message of self-acceptance. Here’s how he ends the video:
“I want people watching this video to understand that you should never let loose skin or anything else stop you from going for your dreams. And my dreams are to be very happy in my skin, and I am. Loose skin and all, I am happy with where I’ve come from and where I am at now.”
